Overview:

This program benefits Medical Social Workers, Certified Case Managers, Acute Care Nurses, Long-Term Care Nurses, Home Care Nurses, Life Care Planners, Guardians, Conservators, Discharge Planners, Medicaid Case Managers and any Healthcare professional concerned with current and future trends in Healthcare and Care Management.

Course Objectives:

Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to:

• Gain an understanding of the ethical issues facing Healthcare and Case Management now and in the immediate future
• Understand the needs of the aging population and the challenges we are facing in meeting those needs
• Achieve insight into the next legislative session and its impact on Healthcare and how it will effect Senior Citizens in particular
• Become aware of the new and/or persistent infectious diseases and what will be done to help control them as well as new Medicare reimbursement issues
• Discuss and better understand the current trends in Vestibular Disorders and the new therapies being used
• Recognize the variety of stressors affecting the Health Professional and how to better manage that stress
